La Montgolfière du Soleil (numbered)

Following the Montgolfier brothers’ first successful hot-air balloon flight in 1783, a veritable craze for hot-air balloons swept through France. On wallpaper, fabrics, porcelain, jewellery, clothing and hats: within a few months, images of hot-air balloons were everywhere. A symbol of modernity and progress!

I designed this hot-air balloon brooch as a tribute to these inventive brothers.

The brooches are numbered, have a magnetic fastening and come in a gift box.

Size: 27,5 mm x 45 mm
Material: metal with enamel colors
Closure: large magnet

Do not use in combination with a pacemaker.
