modern fairy tale
A year and a half ago, a Canadian gentleman stepped into my then shop in The Hague. With his moustache, friendly face and warm voice, he immediately reminded me of Walt Disney. He turned out to be a fabric agent and told me he had admired my shop window the night before. To my surprise, he also provided the fabrics for Disney’s ‘real’ fairy tale princesses! From his suitcase full of colourful stickers from all over the world, he pulled out exactly what I was looking for: fabrics that are simple yet rich, elegant and of exceptional quality. I ordered a few metres as a sample and started designing. For a year and a half, I worked on several trial models with his fabrics, searching for perfection. I have since moved to our romantic French chateau, apparently the ideal place where fashion and magic come together. Indeed, now my design is finished, executed in the iconic colours shocking pink, dove blue and burgundy. They are modern dresses with a classic cut and coutured details, such as the hidden button fastening, elegant cuff seams and rich, wide hem. The waist ribbon is included separately. This dress is for anyone who wants to feel like a fairy princess!
