{"id":4017,"date":"2018-02-25T14:02:35","date_gmt":"2018-02-25T13:02:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/michaelbarnaart.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=4017"},"modified":"2025-06-20T15:39:53","modified_gmt":"2025-06-20T13:39:53","slug":"mondrian-dress","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/michaelbarnaart.com\/en\/product\/mondrian-dress\/","title":{"rendered":"Mondrian dress &#8211; shift dress"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>In 2011, Michael Barnaart designed the Mondrian dress, with the cooperation of Kunstmuseum Den Haag, the museum with the most Mondrians in the world.<\/h1>\n<p>This design is an ode to Piet Mondrian (<span class=\"st\">Amersfoort, 7 March 1872 \u2013 New York, 1 February 1944). <\/span>In this dress with the recognizable surface division, some black lines do not extend all the way to the edge, just as can be seen in Mondrian&#8217;s work. The straight silhouette ensures a comfortable fit. This dress is cream white with black, blue and deep red.<\/p>\n<p>The Mondrian dress was purchased by the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
