Bella Salmonella black kitchen set by Mariëtte Wolbert

Textile designer Mariëtte Wolbert created a furore in 2016 with her kitchen set Bella Salmonella. This design was immediately purchased for the museum collections of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Textile Museum in Tilburg.

Bella Salmonella is an ode to the most common bacteria and viruses in the kitchen. If you look closely, you will even discover – how prophetic – an image of the corona virus in the design!
