Exactly ten years after Michael Barnaart van Bergen’s debut on the Amsterdam Fashion Week, a new era has begun. From 28 February, the label will continue with a simplified house style and with the shorter name Michael Barnaart.
“In recent years, I have dissected my handwriting bit by bit, and in a search for the essence of beauty in fashion, I have stripped my work of the superfluous, resulting in clear lines, bright colors and powerful designs.” With this development, the identity of the brand can not be left behind, so Barnaart chooses to only use his shortened family name. The vignette of the family coat of arms disappears from the logo, but returns to a simplified geometric shape, such as the distinctive pin.
