On 10 June, the Dutch Pavilion opened at the World Exhibition 2017 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The hostesses wear the Mondrian dresses by Michael Barnaart van Bergen.
The theme of this Expo is ‘Future Energy’. In the Holland Pavilion the visitor is immersed in a spatial representation of the character of the Netherlands; a visual language that refers to Dutch icons, Dutch thinking and Dutch Design. The theme of the Dutch entry at the world exhibition is ‘Low Land, High Energy’ and introduces all visitors to innovation and the role of the Netherlands in climate change, the reduction of CO2 emissions and new forms of energy.
It is expected that 5 million people worldwide will visit Astana from 10 June to 10 September 2017.
